GEORGE CLOONEY's politician father NICK has won some celebrity support in his campaign to win a seat in Congress - actors CATHERINE ZETA-JONES and WARREN BEATTY have donated money.

The father of OCEAN'S ELEVEN hunk George will compete against Republican candidate GEOFF DAVIS to win the Kentucky state seat after incumbent Democrat KEN LUCAS steps down.

And Clooney Senior's chances have been bolstered after Zeta-Jones, Beatty, SAYONARA actor RED BUTTONS and NANCY SINATRA all opened their cheque books.

At present Clooney has raised an impressive $825,000 (GBP458,000) for his campaign via fundraisers.
