GEORGE CLOONEY - CLOONEY: 'BRAD'S DOING FINE'

GEORGE CLOONEY is helping pal BRAD PITT cope as the press swarm around him and estranged wife JENNIFER ANISTON - and he's convinced they'll both come out of their marriage split unscathed.

Clooney has just spent two days with Pitt, promoting OCEAN'S TWELVE in Japan, and he insists the movie hunk and his ex are in good spirits.

He says, "They're doing fine. I think the secret, when you live a very public life and you try to live it privately, is to stay as unaware of the press as possible... They're both good friends."
