Hollywood hunk GEORGE CLOONEY is convinced CHRISTIAN BALE will make a great BATMAN, because he has nothing to live up to.
Clooney played the CAPED CRUSADER in 1997's BATMAN + ROBIN, a movie which opened in America with an impressive $42.8 million (GBP26.7 million), but was panned by critics.
But the OCEAN'S ELEVEN star believes Bale has a better chance of success.
He jokes, "Hopefully he won't tank the franchise the way I did. I set the bar so low he shouldn't have a problem."
