GEORGE CLOONEY - CLOONEY URGES USE OF ALTERNATIVE FUELS

Hollywood heart-throb GEORGE CLOONEY is urging US leaders to strike up a new plan to find an alternative to oil for energy.

The former ER star is highly concerned about oil industry corruption, and believes there isn't a strong enough plan in place for the day that the natural energy source dries up.

He says, "Look, it is finite oil. It is finite. We know that. At some point we will have to address the idea of other sources of power, period.

"So it would be nice if we had someone in administration sometime soon that stepped up and said, 'Let's have an actual meeting.' Something like (JOHN F) KENNEDY did with the Space Programme. He set a date and said, 'Let's have an actual target to truly focus on other forms of energy because this is going to go away.'

"It would also be nice not to be dependent on the Middle East for our economical and political woes and everything else."
