Suave Hollywood star GEORGE CLOONEY is lining up a role in a new movie based on the memoirs of a former secret service agent set at the close of the Cold War.
According to reports, the OCEAN'S ELEVEN actor is planning to play ROBERT BAUER in SYRIANA, a film version of Bauer's autobiography SEE NO EVIL: THE TRUE STORY OF A FOOT SOLDIER IN THE CIA'S WAR ON TERROR - which tells of the CIA's failings in post-Cold War Middle East.
The movie has been adapted by and will be directed by TRAFFIC Best Screenplay OSCAR-winner STEPHEN GAGHAN and will be produced by Clooney and STEVEN SODERBERGH's production company SECTION 8.
