Hollywood star GEORGE CLOONEY played the role of real-life action hero after treating a fellow motorcyclist who was sprawled over the ground.
The former ER actor rushed to the aide of bodyguard GIOVANNI ZEQUIREYA who was following Clooney on another motorcycle when he was hit by a car near Salerno, southern Italy.
Clooney applied a tourniquet with a towel and splint to his friend's badly injured leg.
DOCTOR MARCELLINO ESCOLANA, of the ROCCA D'ASPIDE HOSPITAL, comments, "The way the tourniquet had been applied was very professional and was as good as any paramedic.
"George also told us how he had carried out a quick check of the patient to see if he suffered any internal injuries or if he had hurt his head, but apart from the wound to the leg he was fine.
"We both joked about the fact he knew so much about medicine because he played a doctor in ER."
