Hollywood sex god GEORGE CLOONEY is considering enlarging his business portfolio - by buying an Italian soccer team.

The OCEAN'S ELEVEN hunk is making Italy his second home after purchasing a $5 million (GBP8 million) villa in the picturesque region of Lake Como.

Clooney reportedly told pals, "I'm going to buy a small soccer team," and implied it would be a local one.

The latest move follows Clooney's announcement that he was hoping to make a film about the sport.

He told reporters recently, "It's set in 1925 and it revolves around the sport, but it's more of a HOWARD HAWKS comedy."
