GEORGE CLOONEY - CLOONEY BELIEVES IN LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT

Hollywood heart-throb GEORGE CLOONEY is a firm believer in love at first sight because his parents got engaged on their first date, and are still happily married decades later.

The O BROTHER, WHERE ART THOU? actor's own experience of marriage was less long-lived when he divorced TALIA BALSAM in 1993 after four years of marriage.

But, even though he has had a string of failed romances with beauties including RENEE ZELLWEGER, KRISTA ALLEN and most recently British model LISA SNOWDON, Clooney maintains his belief in instant love.

He says, "It happened to my parents. My father was emcee of the Miss Kentucky pagaent, and my mom was in it.

"He asked her on a date and asked her to marry him immediately. They're still together so I know love at first sight can work."
