KELLY CLARKSON - CLARKSON'S MATURE NEW ALBUM

Texan singer KELLY CLARKSON is excited about her album - because she's written most of it herself.

The first AMERICAN IDOL winner's debut LP THANKFUL topped the American BILLBOARD charts earlier this year (03), but only included three songs which Clarkson contributed to.

Kelly enthuses, "You'll hear a lot more passion from my voice, 'cause it's more my stuff. Expect a lot of rock, a lot of soul."

The brunette star is talented in many other ways besides music.

She says, "I'm very passionate about writing. I even write movies and books and stuff like that. My mom's a literature teacher, for crying out loud."

The MISS INDEPENDENT hitmaker is planning to release her album next autumn (04).
