AMERICAN IDOL - CLARKSON REJECTS IMAGE DEMANDS

AMERICAN IDOL winner KELLY CLARKSON is delighted with the way she looks - and ignores pressure to slim down.

The curvy THE TROUBLE WITH LOVE beauty, 21, loves her healthy figure and pities stars who barely eat in order to maintain their skinny frames.

She says, "I think I'm pretty lucky because I've never had a hangup about body image. I work out regularly and I try and eat healthily because it makes me feel better. But I also have days when I eat what I like.

"I couldn't get by without my regular steaks or potatoes. Girls from Texas, like me and BEYONCE KNOWLES, will always have a few more curves. But I go to awards ceremonies and I see loads of celebrities with absolutely no meat on their bones and wearing fabulous dresses. All I think is, 'Boy, those girls need a good square meal.'"
