AMERICAN IDOL - CLARKSON COMPARES MONROE TO HILTON

Original AMERICAN IDOL victor KELLY CLARKSON has left her fans puzzled, after comparing MARILYN MONROE to PARIS HILTON.

The Texan singer admits she's not a fan of the late screen goddess, mainly due to Monroe's string of romances with high-profile stars, including baseball hero JOE DiMAGGIO and scriptwriter ARTHUR MILLER.

Clarkson says, "You know, I don't really like her all that much. I mean, I think she was beautiful and it's great that she was on the voluptuous side (and still a sex symbol), but I've watched a few of her movies and they didn't do that much for me.

"I kind of think of her as the Paris Hilton of her day. And didn't she marry, like, five guys?"
