AMERICAN IDOL - CLARKSON BAGS HER OWN AMERICAN DREAM

AMERICAN IDOL winner KELLY CLARKSON will join singing superstars MONICA and ALICIA KEYS as guest stars in the new series of NBC show AMERICAN DREAMS.

Clarkson, whose first foray into acting in movie FROM KELLY TO JUSTIN was panned by critics, will play singer BRENDA LEE in the show and sing Lee's hit SWEET NOTHINGS.

In the programme, set in the 1960s, Monica will take on the role of MARY WELLS singing MY GUY and Alicia will sing RESCUE ME while playing FONTELLA BASS.

Previous guest stars on the show include NICK CARTER, USHER and KELLY ROWLAND.
