JOANIE LAURER - CHYNA SPENT NEW YEAR BEHIND BARS

Former wrestler JOANIE LAURER spent the early hours of 2005 behind bars after being arrested for beating up her ex-boyfriend.

Laurer, who used to be known as wrestler CHYNA, reportedly visited her ex SEAN WALTMAN after partying at the Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles on New Year's Eve (31DEC04).

Waltman, aka wrestler X-PAC, claims Laurer beat him up in front of his kids - before he called the police.

Writing on his website, Waltman claims, "She assaulted me, struck me in the head and face countless times."

Laurer confirms the arrest, adding she bailed herself out of jail after having to fight with taunting inmates.

She explains, "As I was being led to my cell, some of the inmates started chanting, 'Chyna beat up her boyfriend, Chyna beat up her boyfriend.' They tried to attack me but I held my own."

Laurer insists she has since apologised to Waltman's kids and now wants her ex "out of my life for good".

The odd couple, who were once engaged, are embroiled in a war of words after breaking up last year (04), while also promoting a sex tape.
