CHARLOTTE CHURCH - CHURCH: 'I'VE RUINED MY VOICE WITH BOOZE AND ALCOHOL'

Teen soprano CHARLOTTE CHURCH has temporarily ruined her singing voice - thanks to her predilection for alcohol and cigarettes.

The VOICE OF AN ANGEL singer has just returned to the UK following a raucous holiday in Ibiza with her girlfriends and admits she overdid it while enjoying the island's famous nightlife.

Charlotte explains, "I've been hammered. Cigarettes and alcohol have ruined my voice this week.

"I've been getting drunk a lot but why shouldn't I?"

And the 18-year-old singing superstar has defended her reputation as reports of her wild antics continue to surface, insisting she's a "clean-living girl".

She adds, "Lots of people have been coming up to me and saying, 'You look really good, you should be doing more raunchy photo shoots now that you're all grown-up'.

"But I would never do that. I'm a clean-living girl at heart. And my mother and my gran would kill me if I did."
