SIDEWAYS star THOMAS HADEN CHURCH was incredibly self-conscious when he had to grow a moustache for a recent role, because it made him look like a criminal. The actor was filming the western mini-series BROKEN TRAIL, but insists he's not able to pull off the look without the accompanying western gear. He explains, "I look like JOHN WATERS, the director. "Whenever you're doing a western and you have a moustache it's cool, you kind of have like a SAM ELLIOTT vibe going, but when you don't have the hat on or horses nearby, you kind of look like a molester. "We shot outside of Calgary (Canada) and I'm walking around. People are literally shielding their children from me yelling, 'Go away candy man!'"
