COLDPLAY - CHRIS MARTIN SHRUGS OFF ARREST

COLDPLAY singer CHRIS MARTIN has shrugged off his arrest in Australia last month (JUL03) by cracking a joke about rocker STING.

The light-hearted frontman attacked a photographer's car with a rock after spotting the snapper taking pictures of him surfing on Byron Bay on Australia's Gold Coast last month (19-20JUL03) - but Martin has brushed off the incident with a quip about the former POLICE singer.

He says, "The only time I thought I'd be involved with the police was when I met Sting!"

The 26-year-old is set to return to Byron Bay on 8 October (03) to face Magistrates in the town.
