COLDPLAY - CHRIS MARTIN QUESTIONS GWYNETH'S WORTH

LATEST: Friends fear COLDPLAY singer CHRIS MARTIN is on the verge of breaking off his engagement to actress GWYNETH PALTROW - because he's driven mad by the attention the couple attract.

Last week (21JUL03) it was reported the pair had been sparring while shopping together in London's posh Knightsbridge.

A friend of the YELLOW singer says Martin is questioning whether Gwyneth is worth all the trouble she causes him.

The friend tells CLOSER magazine, "Chris hates the way he has had absolutely no privacy since he started seeing Gwyneth. It's really making him unhappy. He loves Gwyneth but is now questioning whether it's all worth it."

Speaking about the singer's recent arrest for attacking a photographer's car, the pal adds, "Something like this could never have happened a year ago. Chris is taking stock and is really considering if this is the way he wants his life to be."
