Movie actress CHLOE SEVIGNY has slammed critics who were offended by a saucy scene in her movie THE BROWN BUNNY, in which she gives oral sex to actor VINCENT GALLO.
The BOYS DON'T CRY star is upset by the reaction the film received at the CANNES FILM FESTIVAL earlier this year (03), because she views the scene as "romantic" and "beautiful" rather than sordid.
And the maverick actress doesn't understand why people are so appalled by explicit sex scenes on screen, because they just mirror what everyone does in real life.
Chloe says, "I'm really angry at the way everyone's trivialising it. It's a really intense romantic scene, really beautiful. It's not gratuitous, it's deep.
"I do it in everyday life. Everybody's done it, or had it done to them."
But Chloe does admit filming the raunchy scene was a difficult experience.
She adds, "It was the toughest thing I've ever done, but Vincent was very sensitive to my needs, he was very gentle.
"It was one take. It was funny and awkward, we both laughed quite a bit. And we'd been intimate in the past, so it wasn't that strange."
