MAGGIE CHEUNG - CHEUNG SICK OF KUNG FU

Actress MAGGIE CHEUNG began to hate making kung fu films after starring in an action adventure almost left her bald.

Despite making her name in fast and furious Hong Kong action pictures, Cheung insists an accident on the set of POLICE STORY 2 put her off.

The actress - who plays JACKIE CHAN'S girlfriend MAY in the franchise - tells HOTDOG magazine, "I really don't like doing martial arts films.

" I didn't always hate it as much, then I did POLICE STORY 2 and got 17 stitches on the top of my head.

"I had to stay in an air-conditioned room for weeks because if my scalp had sweated in the humidity, I would have been left bald."
