Newlywed country star KENNY CHESNEY once ranked his bride RENEE ZELLWEGER the third sexiest woman he'd laid eyes on, three years before meeting her.

The singer, who exchanged nuptials with OSCAR-winning Zellweger near his home on the Caribbean island of St John on Monday (09MAY05), was asked by publication THE TENNESSEAN to name the three woman he found most attractive.

He named the COLD MOUNTAIN star third, after CHARLIZE THERON and JANET JACKSON, explaining, "Here's a country girl who's still down to earth. She seems like the kind of girl who could fit in and be at home anywhere."

The couple met at the CONCERT OF HOPE tsunami fundraiser concert on 15 January (05), but only went public with their romance last week (ends06MAY05).
