STUCK ON YOU star CHER's appearance at the New York premiere of the new FARRELLY BROTHERS comedy caused a near riot between interviewers and photographers trying to get close to the actress.

The MOONSTRUCK veteran spent ages with the eager media on the red carpet on Tuesday night (09DEC03), alongside son ELIJAH and his girlfriend JENNIFER CUNNINGHAM.

But the frenzy soon turned nasty - and it took the guiding hand of PR guru LIZ ROSENBERG to restore order, according to website PAGE SIX.

After taking her client to various factions of the assembled snappers - along with the stars of cult TV show QUEER EYE FOR THE STRAIGHT GUY - Rosenberg called time on the press scrum and whisked Cher to safety.
