Charlotte Church - Charlotte Lifts The Lid On Love Split

Heartbroken teen soprano CHARLOTTE CHURCH has spoken out about her split with love rat boyfriend STEVEN JOHNSON for the first time - insisting she is "OK".

The VOICE OF AN ANGEL star, 17, ditched the amateur DJ last Wednesday (03DEC03) after discovering he had been cheating on her with a mystery model.

Charlotte remains in the dark about the identity of the woman, after revealing she only found out about his reported infidelity from their friends.

She says, "He never mentioned her name and I haven't got a clue who she is. I heard about it from someone else. I'm OK. It makes it a bit worse that everybody knows. I don't particularly want to talk about it."

But sources close to the Welsh singer say the break-up has hit her hard, especially as she had recently purchased the 19-year-old a $34,000 (GBP20,000) diamond ring.

The source confides, "Charlotte bought the ring earlier this year. It was a symbol of how much she loved him. She was devastated when he cheated on her. The only thing now is to take it back and get a refund."

Johnson is currently trying to sell his story - including intimate details of the couple's sex life - to the British tabloids for a six-figure sum.
