HAWAII FIVE-O - CHARACTER ACTOR JOHNNY MANN DIES

Former HAWAII FIVE-O actor JOHNNY MANN has died of complications from cancer. He was 73.

The California native worked as an actor on Hawaii Five-0 and managed several restaurants in Hawaii after graduating college. He was married and had two sons. He later moved to Marina del Rey, California, where he met his second wife, SHIRLEY, who had two daughters.

He landed character roles in various TV shows, including REMINGTON STEELE, THE A-TEAM and had a recurring role on HIGHWAY TO HEAVEN, where he became good friends with the show's star, MICHAEL LANDON.

He was often confused with singer JOHNNY MANN, and the two became friends.

In his later years, Mann worked as a maitre d' at several country clubs in the Palm Springs, California, area.
