Singer TRACY CHAPMAN is urging fans to shun con artists who are scamming people into buying tickets for a bogus concert in Angola that won't be happening.

The FAST CAR star declined an offer earlier this year (03) to give a concert in the war-torn African nation, but that hasn't stopped bogus ticket sellers and advertisers exploiting music lovers.

An official statement released yesterday (06NOV03) reads, "To avoid any doubt, Tracy Chapman wants it to be understood that she has never agreed to perform in Angola."
