JACKIE CHAN - CHAN TO BE HONOURED AT HONG KONG FESTIVAL

JACKIE CHAN will be honoured at next month's (APR06) Hong Kong Film Festival, along with a host of other martial arts icons . CHING SIU-TUNG will be honoured for designing the fight scenes in HOUSE OF FLYING DAGGERS and HERO, while YUEN WOO-PING will be lauded for choreographing FEARLESS, KILL BILL and the MATRIX films. PETER TSI, executive director of the festival, says, "Their contribution to the local cinema is very big. When people talk about Hong Kong icons, they talk about our action films. "A lot of them are working in Hollywood now. More and more you can see the signature of Hong Kong action in Hollywood films." The festival will run from 4-19 April (06).
