A host of stars including SIR BOB GELDOF, DAME HELEN MIRREN and LOUIS DE BERNIERES will receive honorary degrees this week (begs12JUL04).
The former BOOMTOWN RATS star and organiser of 1985's legendary charity concert LIVE AID is due to become an honorary doctor of civil law at the UNIVERSITY OF EAST ANGLIA (UEA) in east England on Thursday (15JUL04).
The UEA will also present an honorary doctor of letters degree to CAPTAIN CORELLI'S MANDOLIN author Louis De Bernieres.
CALENDAR GIRL actress Mirren will be awarded an honorary doctorate from the UNIVERSITY OF ESSEX, south east England.
