DAVID BOWIE, TOM HANKS and ROBBIE WILLIAMS have all provided cameos for MONTY PYTHON star ERIC IDLE's long-anticipated sequel to 1978 THE BEATLES spoof THE RUTLES.
THE RUTLES 2: CAN'T BUY ME LUNCH will see Idle reprising his role as SIR PAUL McCARTNEY-inspired DIRK McQUICKLY - and he had no problem in persuading the stars to lend their contributions.
An insider says, "Eric managed to persuade them all the pretend to be Rutles fans in the sequel. Hearing someone like Tom Hanks discussing his love of Rutles music is hilarious."
