CATE BLANCHETT - CATE FINDS LOVE IN A GAME OF POKER

Antipodean actress CATE BLANCHETT fell for scriptwriter ANDREW UPTON when he kissed her during a late night game of poker.

But five months earlier, when the AVIATOR beauty first met her now husband, she admits they didn't seem like a winning combination.

Blanchett says, "He thought I was aloof and I thought him arrogant. But then we played poker one night with friends and we kissed. When he kissed me that was that. It just shows how wrong you can be."

Within eight weeks of the fateful kiss, the pair sealed their love with a whirlwind wedding.

Blanchett adds, "If you think about these things too long, you never get round to it. People are terrified about being wrong, but you have to have faith."
