Country legend JOHNNY CASH insisted film producer JAMES KEACH bring his life story, WALK THE LINE, to the big screen after starring with his wife JANE SEYMOUR in DR QUINN, MEDICINE WOMAN. Cash was a frequent guest star on the hit TV show and became good friends with the star and her movie producer husband. Seymour explains, "Johnny Cash did Dr Quinn, Medicine Woman four times, three times with JUNE (CARTER CASH). "John and June became our closest friends and Johnny Cash asked James to make this movie eleven years ago. "John and June really wanted to leave this message about redemption and this great love they had. "And the music is all part of it. "JOAQUIN (PHOENIX) and REESE (WITHERSPOON) were amazing (portraying the couple in the film). "It's really wonderful. I'm really proud of the movie."
