JIM CARREY and CAMERON DIAZ's remake of FUN WITH DICK AND JANE has been forced into a six-month delay, after director BARRY SONNENFELD suddenly walked out on the project.
Sonnenfeld's representatives have confirmed the split but have yet to comment.
As COLUMBIA and producer BRAIN GRAZER search for a new director, they are now planning to begin production on the film next March (04) after Carrey has wrapped filming on LEMONY SNICKET.
Sonnenfeld acrimoniously also walked out on Carrey's Lemony Snicket earlier this year (03) shortly after film studio PARAMOUNT brought DREAMWORKS on board to produce. The movie will now be directed by BRAD SIBERLING.
