Pop diva MARIAH CAREY amazed fans at a London record signing yesterday (05DEC05), by having an assistant hold a drink to her mouth whenever she became thirsty.

Carey was signing copies of her latest album THE EMANCIPATION OF MIMI at a shop on the British capital's Oxford Street.

And the 35-year-old was so busy, her helper was forced to hold a straw to her mouth at regular intervals.
