MARIAH CAREY - CAREY ON THE HUNT FOR A PERMANENT WINTER WONDERLAND

Pop superstar MARIAH CAREY is looking to buy her own winter wonderland after her annual trip to Aspen, Colorado, was a snow disappointment.

The singer loves the sound of sleighbells and playing in the snow but a lack of the white stuff in the celebrity winter playground meant she had to cancel many of her Christmas frolics.

So now Carey's looking to buy a place where she can be guaranteed a white Christmas.

She explains, "We couldn't go tubing this year. I was very upset. I'm going to have to buy some land where there's a hill so I can go sledding down the hill because I'm eternally eight years old."
