Fiery supermodel NAOMI CAMPBELL has a new man in her life - a wealthy, powerful Russian-based entrepreneur who leads a Chechen clan with links to a murder and an assassination attempt.

UMAR DZHABRAILOV, one of the richest men in Moscow, is said to be "smitten" with the 33-year-old London-born beauty, and the pair were barely apart during Naomi's recent visit to Moscow to star in a jewellery presentation.

An onlooker says, "She drank vodka, ate caviar and danced with him until the small hours."

However, Campbell's new man has a colourful past. In 2000, Dzhabrailov ran for the Russian presidency against VLADIMIR PUTIN, but controversy dogged him and he lost.

He was partner in a Russian hotel co-owned by an American businessman, who he later quarreled with. The businessman, PAUL TATUM, was later shot dead - but not before informing officials his life was in danger from "shady figures".

Dzhabrailov, a property and advertising magnate, has known Naomi for a few years, and has previously said, "I love her very much - but she's just my friend."
