British star SIR MICHAEL CAINE is being tipped for the role of butler ALFRED in the new BATMAN movie.
The DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS actor is reportedly the frontrunner for the part, which would see him starring alongside fellow Brit CHRISTIAN BALE as the Caped Crusader, although producers WARNER BROS have declined to comment over Caine's mooted role.
The role was previously played by Briton MICHAEL GOUGH in the big-screen pictures.
