NICOLAS CAGE's treasure hunt is proving to be a rare gem after making another $46.2 million (GBP25 million) in its second week on release.

The film, NATIONAL TREASURE, has made an impressive total of $87.9 million (GBP47.5 million) in just two weeks - to stay on top of the American box office.

Animated hit THE INCREDIBLES is still going strong. It made another GBP33.2 million ($17.9 million) in its fourth week on release - to finish second on the new list.

TIM ALLEN and JAMIE LEE CURTIS' new festive film CHRISTMAS WITH THE KRANKS had a very healthy Thanksgiving weekend, opening in third with am opening week take of $32 million (GBP17.3 million).

In a money-spinning week for the box office, all top six movies made more than $20 million (GBP10.8 million).
