ADRIEN BRODY - BRODY BECAME ATTACHED TO JACKET

OSCAR-winning actor ADRIEN BRODY got to grips with his leading role in THE JACKET by staying immobilised in a straitjacket in between shooting scenes.

The American stars as a Gulf War veteran incarcerated in a mental institution in JOHN MAYBURY's upcoming film, and it was imperitive he quickly became comfortable with the restraining device.

Brody says, "I would intentionally stay in the straitjacket if it was a relatively short set-up time, like half-an-hour or so, just sitting there, immobilised. It was useful for me, and disturbing."
