MATTHEW BRODERICK - BRODERICK HAPPY TO SEE END OF SEX AND THE CITY

Hollywood actor MATTHEW BRODERICK is relieved hit television comedy SEX AND THE CITY has come to the end of its run.

Broderick - who is married to Sex and the City's SARAH JESSICA PARKER - claims the programme's popularity brought the couple a lot of unwanted attention.

The 42-year-old says, "The staggering success of the show has meant a loss of privacy. When I think back to the apartment my wife and I lived in before the show, we were pretty anonymous.

"But now, if we go out to eat, people will come up to her maybe 15 times. It's really nice, but it's extremely repetitious. I hate actors who complain about this, but it is a pain in the a**e."
