BRITNEY SPEARS' beloved grandfather JUNE SPEARS (corr) fears he'll miss out on the pop superstar's future successes because he's going senile.

The 73-year-old admits he already has no recollections of seeing his granddaughter in concert because mild senility wipes his memory the day after the shows he attends.

He laments, I'm getting to where I don't recognise my old friends. It's rough and the docs say there isn't anything they can do.

"The truth is I'm gradually fading away. I'm afraid the day will come when I won't even recognise Britney. That scares me."
