A HARD DAY'S NIGHT star JOHN JUNKIN died of lung cancer in the early hours of this morning (07MAR06). He was 76. The comedian and writer passed away in Stoke Mandeville Hospital in Buckinghamshire, England after suffering from lung cancer. Junkin starred in a series of TV and radio series and films, and played THE BEATLES' road manager in their 1964 film A Hard Day's Night. He also wrote for THE MORECAMBE AND WISE SHOW and the late RONNIE BARKER and starred in popular British sitcoms TERRY AND JUNE and TILL DEATH TO US PART.
