BOY GEORGE - BOY GEORGE UNAMUSED BY DRUGS JOKE

Flamboyant pop star BOY GEORGE was unamused when his recent court appearance over drugs charges became the subject of a joke on stage at the Brit Awards last night (15FEB06).

The former CULTURE CLUB frontman appeared in a New York court earlier this month (FEB06) over charges stemming from his October (05) arrest, when 13 bags of cocaine were allegedly found in his Manhattan home following a party.

The singer/DJ entered no plea in court, but insists he is innocent of all charges.

Appearing on stage at the London ceremony to present the International Male Solo Artist award to KANYE WEST, host CHRIS EVANS took the opportunity to discuss George's recent court drama.

Evans said, "Did you really call the NYPD about a burglary when you had 10 bags of drugs under the bed?"

A stone-faced George replied, "I think that might have been you, Chris," before swiftly changing the subject back to the male category.
