BOY GEORGE has praised 1980s pop star PETE BURNS' demure appearance in British TV show CELEBRITY BIG BROTHER, insisting it boosted the image of homosexuals everywhere.

The KARMA CHAMELEON hitmaker insists the cross-dressing star is a hero, because he made the other housemates accept his personality without having to justify his sexual preferences.

He says, "Pete was fantastic on Celebrity Big Brother.

"The fact that he could be on TV, be so ambiguous and yet not have to say 'I'm a homosexual' was excellent."
