DAVID BOWIE - BOWIE THE BOXER

Rock legend DAVID BOWIE credits boxing with keeping him fit - because he finds it more interesting than working out in a traditional gym.

The stick-thin ZIGGY STARDUST singer loves training with weights, shadow boxing and skipping - but doesn't fancy stepping into the ring for real.

He says, "It might sound strange but boxing is my favourite sport. But obviously just the training.

"It's not as boring as the treadmill in the gym. I am definitely not going to climb into the ring to let myself to be beaten to mush."
