DAVID BOWIE has been paid a reported $1.7 million (GBP1 million) to appear in his first ever TV advertisment - but the veteran rocker has banned it from being shown in his native Britain.
The FAME star's promo for VITTEL mineral water will be shown all through Europe - but Bowie, who is now based in New York, has stipulated that it will not appear on British screens.
The advert shows Bowie walking through a house, transforming into the different looks from his varied career - such as his half-man, half-dog DIAMOND DOGS character and his ASHES TO ASHES clown - as he strolls through each room.
