DAVID BOWIE - BOWIE AND MARTIN SOUGHT FOR NEW EXTRAS

Rock heroes DAVID BOWIE and CHRIS MARTIN are being lined up for the second series of British comedian RICKY GERVAIS' TV show EXTRAS.

THE OFFICE creator has already featured a string of Hollywood stars in cameo roles but he is desperate to get more musicians on board.

He says, "It's still early days. But we definitely want to do something with David and Chris. Although I'm certain he'll say no. But I can't say more than that, or somebody will steal our ideas.

"But I do get a buzz from hanging out with Bowie. He's my absolute hero."

SAMUEL L JACKSON, KATE WINSLET and BEN STILLER all appeared in the first series of the hit show.
