U2 frontman BONO has been slammed by Bolivian citizens for accepting a 'charango' (small guitar) from Chilean leader RICHARD LAGOS - as the instrument is of Bolivian origin. Bono, who was presented with the gift while on tour in Latin America, has been besieged by letters insisting the miniature guitar is an inappropriate souvenir to accept from Chile. And the singer's blunder especially offended Bolivians as the item is traditionally played by indigenous folk musicians - including newly elected Bolivian president EVO MORALES.
