ASTON MARTIN - BOND IS TOP OF THE CARS

The stylish ASTON MARTIN driven by superspy JAMES BOND has been voted Britain's favourite screen car.

The silver DB5 with rockets, ejector seat and revolving number plate was first seen alongside SEAN CONNERY in 1964's GOLDFINGER.

The classic vehicle beat out other top ten contenders like the red, white and blue MINIS from THE ITALIAN JOB, DAVID HASSELHOFF's talking car in KNIGHT RIDER, VW BEETLE HERBIE from THE LOVE BUG and HARRY POTTER's FORD ANGLIA.

A spokesman for company DVLA, which arranged the poll, says, "Cars were once just props. Now they're stars in themselves."
