BON JOVI - BON JOVI TO OPEN NEW WEMBLEY

American rockers BON JOVI have fended off competition from music legends THE ROLLING STONES to land themselves the first ever gig at Britain's brand new Wembley Stadium.

The band, who were also the final act to play the historic venue prior to its demolition, are overjoyed by the decision.

And the big event is scheduled for 11 June (06).

Frontman JON BON JOVI says, "Returning to open the new Wembley is a great honour.

"The old stadium was magical and holds a lot of special memories for us.

"The band and I are looking forward to performing and creating new memories with our fans for the future. It's going to be an incredible night."
