JON BON JOVI - BON JOVI DUPED BY CHURCH FIGURE

Rock superstar JON BON JOVI was conned by the man who married him to wife DOROTHEA in an official church ceremony - and claimed to be raising money for a new school.

Bon Jovi, who had to remarry his wife after their non-religious Las Vegas ceremony so they could both be godparents to her sister's child, donated a cheque to the vicar, who turned out to be serial con-artist.

He says, "The guy that took the ceremony said to me, 'We're building a school. I'd appreciate something for the effort.'

"I said, 'No problem.' And I wrote him a big cheque. But that school never got built.

"Ten months later the front page of the local paper said he'd embezzled millions. Millions. He'd taken it all."
