Pop lothario DUNCAN JAMES has broken another heart - that of British socialite TARA PALMER-TOMPKINSON.

The BLUE singer has always denied he and the gorgeous party girl were anything more than just pals but their flirtatious friendship reportedly did develop into a romance.

But Duncan, 24, who has been linked with model JANINE BOOSIE and former lover ANYA LAHIRI in the last few months, is playing hard to get with the former drug addict.

A source close to the brunette babe says, "The pair of them have tried to keep a lid on their romance. But now Tara is worrying that Duncan's reasons may have more to do with playing the field.

"She told me, 'We adore each other and I know his feelings for me are genuine, but he's a great looking guy and he's so sexy that you can't blame him for being tempted.

"It's not that I want to tie him down but I'd just like more of a steady romance than I think he can offer me.'"
