Hollywood star ORLANDO BLOOM's one regret about being an international celebrity is he's so busy working on movies he never gets the chance to attend once-in-a-lifetime family parties.

The PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN actor has missed a string of weddings and christenings since he shot to fame, but accepts his absences are a part of the job.

The 28-year-old says, "You miss out on things like friends' birthdays and people getting married and having kids.

"I mean, three of my friends have got families now - in fact, I'm the godfather of one of the kids and I've only ever seen him twice.

"It's so weird. They're still trying to schedule a christening when I can be around. It's tough sometimes."
